THE PAPER RECORDS · SNAPSHOT: OCTOBER 31, 2026

The record, losses included.

Two paper sims are running now, ahead of any real money: the gold prop sim (B2 against a Hola-style challenge) and Gold Reality, its lagged twin, which measures what entering late costs. Everything below is a snapshot dated October 31, 2026 — the sims keep running, and their full record is what the Jan 2, 2027 decision point judges.

🥇 Gold B2 — the prop sim

Attempt 1 · Phase 1 · paper base $200,000 · Balance $203,720.94 · Realized +$3,720.94 (+1.86%) · 5 closed · 3W–2L · Win rate 60.0% · B2 (current rules): 2 closed, 2W–0L, +$5,818.74 (+2.91%) · v1 (retired): 3 closed, 1W–2L, −$2,097.80 (-1.05%)

Paper, at the $200,000 scale. The sim began Oct 19, 2026 at a $100,000 base and was re-based to $200,000 on Oct 31, 2026 — same percentages, no restart. The first three trades belong to the retired v1 discretionary strategy and stay in the record. P/L below is shown at the $200,000 scale.

⏱ Gold Reality — the lagged twin

Flat · Balance $200,000 · Realized $0.00 · 0 mirrored trades · Total lag cost $0.00 so far

Nothing to show yet — and it won't be faked. Gold Reality mirrors every Gold B2 entry late — filled at the first 1-minute bar at or after the parent entry + 15 seconds (in practice ~60 seconds; that is the finest data available, and every fill is marked "lag-approx") — with the same stop distance, the same 3× target, and its own 0.5% sizing. It starts with B2 trade #4; earlier trades are not backfilled, and the still-open trade #3 is deliberately not mirrored. The empty record is the honest record: the first true measurement of what being late costs lands with trade #4.

The 2-year backtest BACKTEST — SIMULATED ON HISTORICAL DATA

Kept separate from the live paper record above, so the two can never be confused.

Backtest — this is NOT the live record. The figures below come from running the same B2 rules over historical hourly gold prices — a simulation of the past, modelled as a funded $200,000 account. No account, paper or real, traded these.

Backtest — simulated on historical data, not a live record. Balance after every closed trade, funded $200,000 model running the B2 rules over Yahoo GC=F hourly candles, Nov 15, 2024 → Oct 28, 2026 · 476 trades · peak balance $273,158.42 · lowest CLOSED balance $184,119.11 (Jan 7, 2025 — $119 above the $184,000 floor on a closed-trade basis) · lowest LIVE equity $183,422.96 (Jan 9, 2025) — below the floor on the live-equity basis firms actually judge. This is the corrected run of Oct 31, 2026: the daily trend uses only closes that had actually finalized. Caveats: the news blackout (live rule) was not applied in this backtest; prices are gold futures (GC) — broker spot XAU/USD levels differ by roughly $10–40.

Standing caveats: the news blackout (live rule) was not applied in this backtest. Prices are gold futures (GC); broker spot XAU/USD levels differ by roughly $10–40.

Honest limit: free sources would not give hourly gold data older than November 2024, so this backtest covers 2 years, not 5. The earlier years — including the choppy 2022–2023 stretch — remain untested on hourly data, and two friendlier years are not proof the strategy survives every kind of market.
